April Xberry Info Recap

Our last Xberry info was held in the summer of 2025 and since then, we have received a lot of questions from Salesforce and CRM Professionals in the Nordics about our model and how we view the freelance landscape in Finland at the moment. This April info was held to hopefully answer those inquiries and give people a chance to hear directly from our existing freelancers.

The event got registrants mostly from Finland but some from around the world. The graph below shows some of the things people were looking to hear about:

Chart showing the reasons people have joined to hear about the Xberry model and the freelance landscape in Finland. Top four: Higher income potential Increased responsibility finding clients Chance to specialize Overall the transition that comes with the shift

Overall people seemed eager to learn more about freelancing and were looking for the kind of support that the Xberry model is designed to provide in making that shift. Interestingly, compared to our very first info, there was also a 39,5 % increase in existing freelancers tuning in to hear about Growberry!

What is Xberry?

During the info call, Growberry co-founder Sami Lampinen showcased the Xberry model and answered the pre-submitted audience questions. We proudly currently have freelancers from 10 different nationalities working with customers across 13 countries. Our typical customers are large enterprises looking for roles like Developers, Architects, Trainers, Project Leads, Product Owners, and Senior Advisors. Sami pointed out the huge gap in freelance staffing: Right now, only 1% of CRM staffing is freelance compared to 30% in ERP and 20% in Full Stack. At Growberries, we're betting that this is number is bound to increase in the CRM world too.

According to Sami, our customers have strongly indicated a need for this model where flexibility and skill interact to meet their needs at the right time. They’ve also given Growberry amazing feedback on our ability to truly understand the CRM issue at hand. The latter was also one of the key insights Sami noted in response to an audience question. We aim to understand customer needs so we can pitch them targeted professionals, rather than selling a vague bench.

The second insight he shared from running the Xberry model is that it’s rather autonomous: Xberries are professionals who are able to align and train themselves for things they also recognize are needed in the market or would be their personal unique selling point.

Our customers have strongly indicated a need for this model where flexibility and skill interact to meet their needs at the right time.

Growberry aims to keep building a Home of CRM Experts, where interesting projects and top talent meet. We want to foster a sense of community through different events across platforms. Additionally, we are building next-gen AI Toolset Trainings, first of which will be held as early as next month!

Xberry Stories

Perhaps one of the more waited upon segments were the Xberry Freelancer Stories. We had Modhurima Sil and Henri Aspia share their experiences.

Modhurima is a Freelance Salesforce Consultant, and her path crossed with Growberry last year when we were able to offer her a chance to jump onto a very exciting client opportunity. Prior to this, she had gained over 8 years of experience in IT Consulting and Salesforce working in demanding projects in different roles.

Modhurima made two big shifts in her life at once: moving to Finland and becoming a freelancer. When asked what she thinks people should consider when moving to freelance the key thing Modhurima noted was networking. As someone looking for jobs in a new country she said that having existing networks and actively looking to build new ones is crucial. This is something we at Growberry want to support our freelancers with and something that fits with Sami’s vision of a Home. We recognize the remoteness of freelance, so on top of building functional online spaces we host in-person get-together opportunities to meet with other professionals.

Having existing networks and actively looking to build new ones is crucial when getting started as a freelancer.

Henri is a newer Xberry, we got to know him earlier this year. Henri is an experienced Salesforce professional with an extensive consulting background working end-to-end with world-class clients. He recently jumped into freelance life and was able to give our audience a fresh perspective on what it has been like. In Henri’s case he was able to secure two projects that started simultaneously, one through Growberry. Henri explained how the setup process while simultaneously starting two new jobs has been demanding. He noted that any person considering freelancing should make sure to set aside some time to complete the setup. This setup means for example company registration, choosing an accountant, arranging YEL insurance, and selecting banking & invoicing services. Without us prompting he also did note that the Xberry FAQ page has been rather helpful throughout his journey.

We want to extend a thank you to everyone who joined us last week! We’ve got plenty of exciting things brewing here at Growberry. You’ll catch us at upcoming Salesforce ecosystem events, and we’re already planning our next Xberry Info session for the fall. It’ll be the perfect chance to catch up if you missed this one, or if you’re just looking for a fresh perspective on how the freelance scene is evolving in Finland. Stay tuned!
